Dr. MacLeamy received his bachelors degree from Northwestern University. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium in Palo Alto, CA. He has a diverse training background, including experience at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Health Care System as well as school-based counseling work and community mental health settings.
