Since the onsert of the pandemic I have reached out to my former workers boss whos done more for me than the previous 2 I cant help if I make some uncomfortable in describing pain a dr asks me like from 42019 I know all categories in medicine are all their own and from 1985 and the rest of my life I will have issues I cant deal with some all by myself I need help pulling strings I can only hope once covid 19 is in the rear view mirror those workers will realize their mistakes pain can strike in may forms and the portal into my issues stem in my brain. One of my ears My teeth and METAL in recent years it has at times very very sick and very much in pain I want it to be gone and I cant hold it alone

My son has been with Regional center of the east bay for about 15 years. And his case. Lady only calls him 1 time a year to sign papers. If he doesnt sign he will be dropped. He had to sign so they can get paid.I received a paper stating dates of workers hours. But they dont match up. Im the one taking care of my son with no help. I gave up asking..And theyre supposed to providehelp for my son Cant always use Covid as an excuse. I need to know who I can go to for help.

When I lived here between 2000-2006 I had a great experience with this regional center. Since returning here from Southern California in 2013 it has been terrible. First it took about 9 months to get our adult son transferred to a counselor and since then he has gone through maybe 5. The last one we asked to help us sign him up for a work program that had a deadline when we finally got a response from her she told us they submitted the application past the deadline and we would have to wait for the next year. Since that time we did not hear from a counselor for about 2 years until last month when a new counselor called my son directly just to ask the yearly questions probably to get his numbers checked off. Dismall support I wish we lived in LA again that regional center was amazing.

We have a wonderful case manager Ms. L. Hamilton who provides us with so many resources and activities for our son. She has great communication with our family and is always available to discuss questions or concerns. We have had the best experience with Regional Center of the East Bay.

Regional Center East Bay had created a nasty problem and allowed it to persist for FOUR YEARS STRAIGHT has failed to show any remorse about it instead just subscribing to bureaucracy for its own sake and has even gone as far as to use excuses to be obstructive when addressing what they nitpicked about doesnt solve a damn thing to begin with. None of this inspires trust and if theyre going to keep being apathetic or worse then I have ways to make sure the truth comes out with irrefutable proof.

Cant get my sons case worker to call him We have called on the status of a program she was going to sign him up for and nothing. My son is an autistic adult who is trying to live independently. Have had nothing but issues with this center Concord office.

I like the regional center a lot butsince that I went there just to see how it worked. I was queasy by that I mean they gave a form and asked us to fill it at home. I know you think this is important which is true but still I wanted to see my case manger immediately so this form was large and contained lots of sheets of paper. I rated this four stars instead of five because I didnt like that fact. I could go on that would be boring so lets stop.

Expect to have uneven experiences as it really depends on your caseworker or therapist assigned to you. We got pushed back and forth from Kaiser our insurance to the regional center. You cant have the same kind of help from both. There should be a class for parents to navigate this system. Photo copy all paperwork you fill out as it might get lost in the mail. Expect to wait for certain services as demand outstrips availability for some things. You must be a strong advocate for your child and ask questions and demand service. This is supposed to be a service for everyone who is elegible who needs it.
